The CLA Career Development Committee offers scholarships annually to members enrolled in MLS or LTA degree programs. This year, two MLS scholarships in the amount of $1,500.00 and one LTA scholarship in the amount of $750.00 will be awarded. Materials must be submitted by February 10, 2012 in order to receive consideration. In addition to the monetary award, scholarship winners receive complimentary one day registration and lunch at the 2012 CLA Annual Conference, May 7-8, 2012 at the Mystic Marriott Hotel and Spa, Groton, CT.  Don't miss out on this great opportunity! CLA Congratulates Two CT Award Winners

CLA is so pleased and proud to congratulate two of our members who are recipients of the 2011 “I Love My Librarian" award sponsored by the American Library Association, New York Times and the Carnegie Corporation! Jennifer Keohane, Business Outreach Librarian at Simsbury Public Library, and Michelle Luhtala, Library Department Chair at New Canaan High School, were among ten winners chosen from 2,000 submissions. Jennifer currently serves as chair of CLA’s Customer Service Committee, and Michelle was the 2010 winner of CLA’s “Librarian of the Year” award.
